HANKOOK VENTUS RS-2's
ARE WHERE ITS AT!
NEW Super high silica compound (rare). Treadwear rating thats less than 150 (GRIP!)
I had them on my subaru and they would grip like limpet mines with 300kw@wheels.
They are almost twice as grippy as the Pirelli rosso's mentioned earlier which have a much higher treadwear rating.
They are one notch above the street legal semi slick race tyres.
I will be whacking these on my GT once the conti's wear out for sure as it will almost eliminate wheelspin and bring the 0-100 down big time.
Technology
The Ventus R-S2 Z212 radials feature Hankook's High Grip Silica Compound featuring an advanced resin technology used for their racing tires molded into a directional tread design. Wide continuous shoulders, intermediate ribs and center rib increase rubber-to-road contact, reduce distortion while cornering and enhance responsiveness on dry roads. Wide circumferential grooves and large shoulder notches help water flow through the tire's footprint to resist hydroplaning.
The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by two-ply high-density, spirally wrapped jointless nylon. Additionally, a two-layer rayon carcass that sandwiches a hard sidewall filler and steel side reinforcements between the body cord plies helps resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering.
