The combo I was looking at:
Getting the 42DD Value Line 3" Down Pipe.. With Street Series Cat and 2.5" adapter..
42 Draft Designs
VW Mk4 1.8T Value Line 3" Downpipe
And a 2.5" Cat Back like the 42DD.. With either hidden tip, or single 4" tip..

I got the 3" street series downpipe from Greg its great I have it mated to the stock pipes no resonator and to a Remus muffer it sounds great can post a video later. If you do go the 42 draft grab some transmission bushes too they make changes feel so much nicer.

Swainey32 - 3" to 3", dual tip dual double wall
Traedayz - 3"to 2.5", dual tip single wall

Side note, so does the K04-001 just bolt on like the K03s does it? If I upgraded the turbo later (when I have money again) to a K03s/K04, would the 42DD DP still bolt straight on?

No worries its a bit of a cut up really. First I had the resonator cut out at a local shop for $50 bucks the rest was stock, was louder but didn't really do much other than the sound (wasn't that great at all really).
They had the Remus muffler for an Audi sitting there so I got that installed for $350, it made it sound a lot better and it opened it up being a straight through it felt better mid to high range.
I don't think it would cost much at all to get it made in 2 1/2" if you go in with the muffler you want and the dp its mid way on the car till the muffler and only a few bends. Also I installed the dp myself with the car on jack stands I got the three piece just so I could do that
