Honestly cant win lol. Glad 2013 is over...
On the way to a wedding on the 30th Dec the car did this to me.....
The car is currently residing at the VW dealership on the sunshine coast awaiting 2 new mounts that are enroute from Germany. Decided to stick with thr OEM mounts due to price and also for the fact that I dont think Ill see the benifit out of stiffer mounts.

Hope you get if fixed up soon mate.
AFAIK the passenger mount is still intact and functional but it would be silly not to replace that at the same time, so both mounts will be replaced.
I'll have the guys suss out the VF dog mount while the car is up in the air to see whether the bushings need replacing too... At least that way I have time to save and put and order together rather than scramble for an emergency fix HAHA.
On a side note... Thank Fk for RACQ membership....

Didn't loose drive as such but certainly pulled over as soon as we heard the noise.

Not having the best of luck with the R32 Corey. Hope to see her back up and running soon!
Were the VWR or VF Engineering mounts an option? I think it was best to keep it OEM to avoid any noise, vibration and harsh driving experience.

R32 is back. The drivers mount didn't fail as first thought. There is actually a bracket which connects the mount to the engine, that is what actually failed, the bracket looks like this;
(not my bracket)
So, that bracket was replaced and I've also had both mounts replaced with OEM items. The drivers mount was on back order so the car goes back to VW for the day when I get back from the mines.
Hopefully past this point I don't have any surprises other than a few small bits which I can sort myself in my off time.
On a side note, my awesome girlfriend decided to clean the R32 whilst I'm away
