You should be looking to get up to 165KWATW or there abouts depending on what other bits you fit.Originally posted by dubbed View PostWhat sort of power can you expect from the K04 upgrade?
Basically you would be creating an S3 engine by fitting the 04, they got to about 260 crank HP with a software change.

Hehehe - it's a long read! It's all just money and time - you can have this kind of fun with any car realy.Originally posted by WhubbsieThere is nothing better than a polo badge, thats why you will notice Veyron drivers with polo gti badges.... they know where the true sizzles at!

Yeah, i'll have endless fun with the Mk1 when it's done. But unlike you mine will be off-the-road untill it's completed, which makes it harder to stay enthused, especially in winter. Its soooo bloody cold at the workshop some days.Originally posted by 99gti View PostHehehe - it's a long read! It's all just money and time - you can have this kind of fun with any car realy.
But keep it up man, your Mk4 is an absolute stunner. Its probably the best one i've seen and really impressed me in the flesh. It is exactly how i wanted my white 2.0l sport to look. Same wheels and everything.

New toys! Woohoo. My suspension and handling side of things will shortly be complete. I love impulse purchases.
Item number 1 - thanks to Milan is a nice pollished front strut brace. I forget what make it is but the make starts with W and is realy long - a very technical description I know.
Item number 2 - A Tomas Sport Tuning rear stress brace.

So once that's done, my suspension/handling will consit of:
KW V2's
Whiteline F & R sway bars.
ECS tuning bushings all round.
W something or other front stut brace.
TST rear stress brace.
Just for good measures I might also get the neuspeed lower brace but I'll see if how it goes with all this fitted first...
Then it's time to hit the trace for some 3 wheel action!!!

I think I'm 1/2 an inch to wide on the rear to be able to get them engineeredOriginally posted by jayjay View Postyum yum.. i'm loving your mk4 neil.

The RTA booklet says no more than 2" wider than the largest wheel available that came on the car. I'll look into it more but we'll just have to wait and see. Basicly it means the cops can't defect you and your car has meet criteria to prove it's road worthy.Originally posted by WhubbsieThere is nothing better than a polo badge, thats why you will notice Veyron drivers with polo gti badges.... they know where the true sizzles at!

Hahahahaha. Good point. Hey Neil, you might need 12s on the rear and 10s on the front.Originally posted by Tim View Postonly problem i see with the wide body idea is that the LMs might not fill the guards all the way!
