It's funny talking to Hitman before I went out today he said it would deepen as the ecu relearns for the additional airflow. Driving down the highway towards the Gold Coast at 110km/h all of a sudden I accelerate a little and woah a nice deep induction noise.
Must say I'm very happy. Pick up at 110km/h in sixth was much better too.
Normal driving there's a deeper note too.
GF was with me today so haven't given it a good go yet though.

    • Picked up the rotors today. They've now got some nice new wear indicators for when there worn again. I'm very happy with the results. A big thanks goes out to Mike Webber at Prestige & Performance for organising the slotting and the Engineering machnists next door to him with their fancy CNC machine.

As if we weren't sick of photos already, here are some more.

What rotors are they? What size?

I'd love some for my Polo

                • Mate, just saw the pics on the previous page, that must have been a PITA job clearing out the plastic honeycomb from that lower vent.

They're the standard OEM R32 rotors that have been slotted with a CNC machine (machinist next door to Prestige & Performance at Cooparoo).
Size wise they're a 334mm x 32mm rotor with a 30mm minimum width. You would also need the R32 callipers and the specific pads that will fit the car.
I wish you all the best getting them to fit on the Polo.

Lets not go there. That was a pain in the ass job. I have since discovered that TMTuning sells the grills already cut out. Would've saved me a few hours cutting all those bastards out.

Hmmm, they're 11mm bigger than the Brembo ones from Guy (and wider).

                      • New brake rotors and pads are getting installed this weekend as well as getting some vag tacho work.

However I've decided to wait on the suspension install for the moment until I get some of the other toys that I have on order at the moment.
                        In no particular order:
                        • HPA Short Shifter
                        • Thomas Tuning Rear Strut Brace
                        • H&R Front and Rear Swaybars (25mm & 21mm respectively, both adjustable)
                        • Blue Tinted Aspherical Glass (Left & Right side)
                        Exciting times ahead.

I also got some shiny white leds from 42 Draft Designs which look fantastic. They match the Xenons beautifully. I'll put up some photos later.

                        Cheers,
                        Trent

Hmm. Thanks Graeme. The ones I've ordered are asperical on both sides. I've go the ones from ECS tuning which say they fit all MkIV Golf (R32 inc), B5 Passat and Jetta/Bora and whatever a 337/20AE is. I sure hope they fit. Otherwise if they don't whatever they do fit I'm sure someone on here will buy them.
