I thought that recirculating back to the inlet help keep up inlet pressure so that the engine wouldn't fall off boost between upshiftsResident grumpy old fart

The fall off in boost between shifts, is more down to the build up of pressure behind the throttle plate causing the compressor to slow down, rather than the recirculated boost.Originally posted by kaanage View PostI thought that recirculating back to the inlet help keep up inlet pressure so that the engine wouldn't fall off boost between upshifts
I always understood the problem with not recirculating back into the inlet, was more to do with the loss of metered air. Causing the ECU to get confused.
