i think the height is alright steve, especially for dodgy Tassie roads and being a daily.

just to make myself clear. i dont mean more lows just saying that. sure the car sits level (and looks sweet in the rear end!!!), but i always look at the tyre gap.
imo it needs to be even all round, or less gap at the front as per how the car would have been stock... anyone can lower a car more in the rear then the front, thats not hard.
its what makes it sit proper in my eyes, this sits perfect in the rear for AUS horrid roads, just like to see the gap upfront less

I totally agree dylan, in relationship to the fenders the lip should sit the same, or less in the front. As soon as i get a notch i will go lower in the front, but as for now i really don't think i can! even small bumps I'm hitting frame. Scared I'm gonna snap the damn things off!

Took my car to a mechanic, and he reckons its the cv which is making the horrible noises on the front left, Having a bit of trouble it seems to source a part. looks about $350 for a whole driveshaft, or around $170 plus labour for the just the CV. Anyone had any problems with CV's? can't say i've really read anyone having anything go wrong, VW must make them pretty decent!

                      nope! lol.
I know when my BBS are finished ill be putting a wax or gel on the lips... something i can then wash off and quickly polish before shows.
But i wont be using mine daily...
What polish are you using, im pretty happy with the purple metal polish im using on the teledials, seems to leave a protective coat last a while before the grim builds up and sticks

The polish Dylan is referring to is called Purple Metal Polish, (you will find it on Car Care Products website). It's fantastic, used it on the bumpers of dads MGB, they have never looked better.

Best thing to do is clean the wheels with a wheel cleaner (Duragloss All Wheel Cleaner is great), polish them up with the Purple Metal Polish, then apply a wheel sealant (Nanolex is good) to make cleaning a lot easier.

yeah nice thanks! i'll have to get some products and give it a shot, otherwise i'm basically cleaning them every second day. Plus having a black car means i have to wash that twice a week!(not that i always do!) I'm coming up for some new break pads too soon, anyone found good break pads that don't leave much dust, or at least easier to clean dust?

                                Update:
Got around to installing my exhaust today. Its a 3" Decat downpipe mated to a 2.5" Billy Boat catback. Pretty happy with sound! Can really hear her spool now, not too much drone.

Downpipe is just a ebay cheapie. It had two bungs for o2 sensors, one of which we just welded up. Also had to weld a 280mm piece onto it where i cut out when it went down to 2" from 2.5". Install was pretty easy! only took about 3 hours or so, most of the time was spent trying to get the bolts off the turbo! Probably didn't help that i didn't let the car cool down haha too impatient!
