I agree with the red light issue. Atleast 5 times a day i see someone run a red light. I lost a point while getting my licence because at an intersection with lights turning right the first car is meant to enter the intersection, that way when the lights turn yellow it allows you to move out of the intersection. I didn't enter the intersection, because with the amount of people who run red lights, you cant just go with the assumption they are going to stop.

yeah.. i wasn't even talking about people running an arrow that's turning from amber to red, but pricks that just go through a big intersection who were going at less than full speed about 5 seconds after its gone red... can't believe it. Then catch up with the ****heads at the next intersection anyway.

Yeah i know what you mean, why bother toying with your life when you can just sit at the lights for a minute or two.

Well turns out dad doesn't want a 6 year old car.... Oh well, i hope someone snatches up this bargain. In the mean time i'll just pester him for a MKV

Your dad doesn't know what he's missing out on. My dad has made the comment how fun my car is in comparison to his MkV GTI and he sees why I love it so much.

I know, i had my mates R32 around to my place to show dad and it is such a sweet car. Dad is such a tight ass, so frustrating, it's such a good buy.

Yeah, he's moved up to Mackay now so that ones out of the question. I'll see if i can get this one,

                    2006 R32

How much do you think is a reasonable price to pay for that?

I've seen that one around, price sounds reasonable (just check the redbook.com.au for a rough guide and being 06 is prob out of warranty so may not make much sense over the MKIV).

Especially given that VW admitted that they dropped the quality ball on the MkV in comparison to the MkIV especially when it came to the interior (not saying this is the case for all MkVs or all MkIVs though).

Oh and wouldn't a fully optioned MkV R have Recaros? That one doesn't look to have them.

                            Cheers,

I think the general quality of the interior materials (plastics in particular) went down a notch with the Mk5 when compared to the Mk4.

Regarding seats in the Mk5 R32, there were two options beyond the standard leather - either Recaros or electric seats with memory function.
                              Nothing to see here...

Yeah but he is reluctant to buy one, i'm trying to convince him. And yeah i noticed from sitting in my mates MKIV R32 to sitting in a few other MKV R32's the interior looks a bit more tacky in the MKV. None the less, i still want one. Which one would you guys prefer to have, and MKIV or a MKV?
