Yeah i was going to end up offering him 25 for it, which i think is a fair enough price. He seems seriously urgent to get rid of it so i guess he would be happy with anything more than what the dealer will give him. I've just got to convince dad to buy it haha
Does he have a roadworthy etc already, just get it checked over if you can too. Some people that are planning to trade cars let them get a bit run down (not saying this is the case here but talking from experience with buying an A4 off a mate).
Not sure about the road worthy, on the article it says 'road worthy - N/A' so i assume he doesn't, however, he has been driving the car. Yeah i'd defiantly get a RACQ check done on it before buying it. If that comes up all fine it should be alright yeah? Just the only problem with a 2004 car is running it gets a bit more expensive.

Providing a roadworthy would be extra cost and hassle as far as he's concerned (especially if there are any items to be fixed) but most people get a roadworthy certificate once they know they got a buyer (as it expires after 2 months).
May be worth getting onto it quick, may be fine or may need a few things which would drive up price vs just dumping it at the dealers.
QLD is pretty stuffed, so you can drive a non-roadworthy car until it dies as long as you don't run out of rego.
Unless the cops pull you up, yep. As always if an insurance assessor finds your car unroadworthy they won't pay out.
We have bigger problems anyway, the worst "mergers" in the country as well as pretty bad lane hoggers.
Cheers,
Trent
I have noticed a big difference lately, the number of people that don't indicate or give you a courtesy wave is pathetic. Don't want to generalise but a lot of Gen Y P-platers that think they are top ****.
Also seen people running red lights of late, well after they are red like they don't give a ****. The Bi-xenons will be flashing soon!!
