Hypothetically speaking, as i do not own an R32 . How much would you get as a trade in price on a 2004 R32 with 70,000kms on it? I'm thinking around 18grand. What do you guys think?
Trade ins are nasty , try and sell it privately if possible!
Also see rebook but that's usually ****house anyway and doesn't take into account any driveaway, options, extras, if you've taken great care of it etc.

Depends where you trade it in as well. I know someone drove their R32 down to Sydney for a trade as the dealers up here in Brisbane were absolutely pathetic with their trade in prices.
Red Book values are going to be way off anyway. You've got to remember there are less than 200 of these in the country and they're not trading hands as much anymore. Therefore the guides and prices on Redbook are based on a very small sample sets.
Brisbane sucks for buying cars and discounts as well
I have stayed quite faithfull to Austral over the years when buying new cars
2 in the last 4 years and probably another in july. They no who i am and look after me, i believe its about building a relationship so it can be a Win Win to all parties.

Sounds good Luke, I should have reprhased it to 'not as big discounts as in the southern states' but the sheer volume of cars they turn over compared to QLD would explain it.
hhhmmmm....redbook and glasses guide is wat they go by....
Give u a idea My R32 trade in was 18k with at that time 180,000k
Now i also went to a Vw yard *no names mention* the ****head salesman called my car a GTI 15k.. **** i went of and i said this is a R32 and still offered no more
Do urself a favour sell it private, wait and be patient
Thanks for all the replies chaps. Nah i'm not selling the car, i'm buying one. A guy has his R32 for sale with 70,000kms on it for $28,000. At the end of the week if it doesn't sell he is trading it in. So if it doesn't sell i can offer him a grand more than what he's getting for the trade in price, and get a good buy .
Have you asked him what he's been offered and said that you're willing to pay a grand more? I know if it was my car i would happy if someone came and offered more, you could always ask for evidence of what he's been offered.
Have you been and had a look at it? Done a REVS check on the VIN?
I reckon you could get this for $25K, would be a bargain!
