  • ECS Tuning Group Buy

    Hi guys,

    Just wanted to get expressions of interest on front suspension refresh kits from ECS for a potential group buy.

    They do three stages of kit.

    Stage 1.

    Included in the front suspension refresh kit is as follows:
    * OEM control arm bushings
    * Control Arm Hardware
    * Outer Tie Rod Ends
    * Lower Balljoints (with hardware)
    * Upper Strut Mounts
    * Upper Strut Bearing
    This kit also includes the OEM control arm stretch bolts which are recommended by Volkswagen not to be reused once being removed.

    Stage 2 - differences from stage one in RED.

    Included in the front suspension refresh kit is as follows:
    * Audi TT/R32 heavy duty upgraded control arm bushings
    * Control Arm Hardware
    * Inner Tie Rod Ends
    * Outer Tie Rod Ends
    * Lower Balljoints (with hardware)
    * Upper Strut Mounts
    * Upper Strut Bearing
    This kit also includes the OEM control arm stretch bolts which are recommended by Volkswagen not to be reused once being removed.

    Stage 3 - differences from stage 2 in LIME.

    Included in the front suspension refresh kit is as follows:
    * Brand new replacement control arms with all new OEM bushings
    * Control Arm Hardware
    * Inner Tie Rod Ends
    * Outer Tie Rod Ends
    * Lower Balljoints (with hardware)
    * Upper Strut Mounts
    * Upper Strut Bearing
    This kit also includes the OEM control arm stretch bolts which are recommended by Volkswagen not to be reused once being removed.

    If you're interested, please post below. Once I have an estimate on numbers, I'll see what sort of discount we can organise from ECS, and we'll go from there.

    Please note: If this becomes a big order, we'll end up paying import duty and GST on the order. I'm hoping that by combining it into a big order (or several large-ish orders), we can account for that in shipping savings.

    Expressed Interest:

    1. Fury (Stage 3).
    2. JustCruisn (Stage 2, plus extras).
    3. dylan8 (Misc parts).
    4. Yevvy (Stage 2).
    5. HOLEIN1 (Stage 2 plus extras).
    6. pauld (PSS9s + Stage 2?)

      Can Chris@ECStuning help us ??

      I'd go for stage 2.
      I don't really need need the control arm bushes as I got them done last year but I'd like the inner tie rods.
      The whole control arm is gonna push up shipping too.

      What about the rest of the suspension, only another $110 to get the rest.

        My initial post includes a listing of included parts, I've even highlighted differences between the kit stages. Additionally, the stage 1/stage 2/stage 3 lines are actually links to the ECS Tuning pages for those particular kits.

        If you have any specific questions, I'm happy to answer them. Otherwise, let me know if you're interested, and in which kit.

        That's the plan at this stage.

        I'm happy to include other bits and pieces - I'd seen the requirement for the refresh kits building up, but I don't see any harm in including other stuff.

              id be keen on the above as well as a Stage 2 kit - was looking to purchase these in the near future anyway as my suspension is as sloppy as a $2 hooker at the moment!

                Hi all,

                I'm considering changing this into a bulk "anything goes" purchase from ECS. What I'm hoping that we'll be able to do is get a great rate on shipping and the actual bits by ordering in bulk - enough to counter the cost of import duty and GST.

                I myself will be ordering oil filters, probably a cabin air filter, maybe an economy kit. I know there's a few others interested in other stuff - let me know what you're after, I'll see what I can put together.

                Regards,

                Rob

                  Hmmm.....well this might be great because I am currently looking at purchasing some bilstein pss9 + suspension refresh kit. Shipping is the killer as we all know, but I would be very interested in this idea. EDIT- I am also thinking of purchasing new sway bars and brake pads while I'm at it.

                            I think so, yes. If nothing else, shipping should be substantially cheaper due to the volume we're looking to do.
