washed and polished tonight, phone pictures really bad though. I'll take some better shots this weekend.
Doing my best to come down on saturday, going to be bummed if i miss out!
Also, removed a space age looking pioneer HU on monday and installed a Nakamichi head unit, slowly retuning it back to its stock gloryLast edited by Jeeren; 04-11-2011, 11:59 PM.MK4 R32 #80

Dropped my Bora off at the mechanic again. It seems to spend more time there than with me.
There is still a little bit of harshness in the drivetrain somewhere after the failed engine mount saga the other week, I suspect the inner CV joints took a beating as the boots are now torn and they weren't before so I am getting that attended to plus a change of fluid for the gearbox and a weeping seal between the gearbox and engine and a whole load of new suspension bushes plus shock top mounts.
I'm guessing I'll be a couple of grand lighter by the end of the week. By the time this work is done my Bora will have cost me more in repair costs in 3 months than my old ute cost in purchase, maintenance and repair costs over 3 years of ownership, and that even includes the $1000 difference between what I paid for the ute and what I sold it for 3 years later.
I knew the VW would be expensive to fix and it's lucky I can afford it right now, but I am fast approaching that point of no return where I'm reluctant to drive it in case something else goes wrong and I get stranded on the side of the road again. Once you get to that point where you don't trust the car you really have no option but to sell it.

Sad to here man, such a nice car in white but I can understand the line of thought. There has to be a point where you look at a car that isnt a project and say enough is enough but surely after this round you wont have any more issues for a long while.2003 Bora 4Motion
