yeah think i'll do that.
got the tyre repaired (thankfully was repairable unlike last time...) and when i took off the steelie, looks like the conical bolts flattened the original ball seating a bit, as you'd expect.
real annoying thing is that the place i got it repaired at, seem to have superficially damaged the edge of the rim from removing the tyre.
was annoying cos they were in perfect nic no gutter rash. i saw it when the guy was giving it to me but no point having a whinge to him

Swapped my Philips BlueVision globes for Xtreme's. The BlueVisions were ok, certainly a nice white light compared to the stock bulbs but they really didn't light up the road much better, hoping the Xtremes will be an improvement.

Hit a rabbit on the highway and my week old Rieger r-rs valance now has a big black crease in it, and I lost the rhs grill as well.
