I hope I can get 300,000 out of my VR6 if I treat it right.

                          • I took my spoiler off and got halfway through debadging the rear (just the "Bora" so far). Both left a few marks due to being on there for years =[ I'm not entirely pleased. I ran out of time as I was playing housewife today..

Also for the front I found the V6 badge and put it on the aftermarket grill which came on the car when I bought it. I hope it's in the right spot...

I also want to add as an aside that while hunting for a futon/sofa bed today my mate at a furniture shop hooked me up with a very nice and comfortable dark chocolate leather chaise which I'll use as a day bed. RRP $1499. Special price for me: $100!

                            • Bought one

Gday all, Andy from Sydney. First and second cars MANY years ago were 76 LS 2 doors. Good to be back and feels a bit like I never left!

She's an 01 GTi with 64,000 on the clock. Bit tatty round the cosmetic edges but nothing some TLC won't fix.

Has Audi looking 17s in average condition with near new boots on them.

Plans at this stage are rims and a tidy up of paint and leather (fake wood is in crap condition on the doors, leather on drivers seat is average as is the steering wheel) then see where the bug takes me...

Anyone got tips on where to find some 17x? BBS CH replicas? Do they exist in 17s?

Look forward to catchin up on the road sometime.

                              Cheers

                              A

welcome! Im sure there would be 17x8 reps around, if not go for some 18x8s

your existing wheels are what is know as A8 reps.

I drove my car from bairnsdale to melbourne wednesday night, picked up tyres on the way, had the old ones stripped and new tyres fitted thursday, wheels on the car thursday, 10pm that night decided it was already to low in the rear (yes, i said my car was to low...) and no way i could drive around even if i just put fuel in it let alone bags etc for GAF,
around to Golfmans place (thanks heaps man!!!) lifted the rear 10mm.
Still rubbed to the point tyres could be smelt cooking on the way up to ACT but arches seem to be 90% ok.
                                Bora gone
