What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

well i checked the resistance of the recaro and it wasnt returning a value where as the original seats were returning a value of 2.8. i think the airbags are shorted or dead so i put in 2x 4.7ohm @ 0.25w resistors in parallel to stop the cel. i'm now tossing up whether or not i want to keep the recaro's. if anyone wants a full set (front and back) of recaro's in good conditiong but with non-functioning airbags pm me and you can have them for how much i paid for it (pickup only).

If your airbags are the same parts as your original seats you could take em out and re-fit into recaro seats but you would be stuck with
your old seats. Just an idea!!! Not sure if it can be done...

I have been doing some research on the stuff that grtuned did. Most of it is available from ebay.de or ebay.co.uk

I found that ebay.de has a few multifunction steering wheels but all without airbabgs. ebay.co.uk has no multifunction steering wheels but plenty of airbags for them.

The MFD nav units are around but not too common. There are 2 or 3 for sale at the moment on ebay.co.uk and a few on ebay.de

From what I can tell the FIS for a V6 is a much rarer beast. I can find plenty of TDI ones but not that many V6 ones, again ebay.de as grtuned said is the place to look for the good stuff

The prices I have seen match almost exactly the estimates grtuned gave

On the topic of joey mods

I haven't posted any pics yet because I don't currently have a Bora to put them on

....but I picked up some ridiculously cheap headlights on eBay so I baked them and painted the reflectors on the weekend. Used flat black, $9 from Bunnings, I think it looks better than gloss for a Joey mod.

I think these will look great on my White Bora, especially as the ones I have on it right now are pretty cloudy.
