  • Tyres are 225/45 17

They are Continental SportContact 2 but only have about 45-50% tread left. I'm very tempted by Nitto Invos as replacements but hopefully I will get at least 15-20,000kms out of these before I have to start thinking about replacements.

The front bar is a bit loose on the driver's side which makes it look wonky on the passenger's side. I plan on fixing that when I get a proper 4motion lower valance and when I fit the new headlights I am doing a bit of internal blackout work on.

These Oettinger wheels only sit an inch closer to the guard than the stock wheels but it's really noticeable. Looks nice.

        • Attempted fixing the illumination of the stereo screen...

Successfully removed the front of the stereo circuit board, removed the blown globes, and attempted to retrofit LED's in there...

          Didn't work

Now I need to get 2 new bulbs from Jaycar tomorrow morning so I can re-assemble the radio / car before the missus needs it.

            • I gave mine a wash today, 1st since Easter. My neighbour was getting annoyed at how dirty the car was, he can't stand to see such a nice car get so dirty.
1 thing I hate about washing is finding all the new scratches and dings.

                • Managed to get the LED's installed into the radio...
Turned out that the driving transistor had also died...

Also, found out the the 'low speed' resistor in both fans has failed...
                  Resistors have been ordered.

                    • Yesterday I got rid of the double DIN stereo/cd changer combo and replaced it with a single DIN pocket and a JVC KD-AVX77 head unit. I'm glad I've got somewhere to put my phone now and I can now use my cup holders properly.

I'm also very happy with the head unit as I bought it second hand for dirt cheap but has every single function I need. The only problem is that it juts out a bit but I can deal with it.

Also last week when trying to remove my indicator repeaters I broke one. They were smoked ones and looks pretty good so I ordered some more black ones but I decided to get LED ones. Hope they don't look too tacky.
