I am thinking about getting a vf stage2 supercharger from the states that I have been looking at for the last 2 weeks I am just sorting out the ecu.I also wanted to get the engine swap out of the way and the stereo fitted before I got it sprayed at my mates shop.I have a brand new front bar and a new rear window spoiler sitting there waiting to be fitted. There should be some photos going on very soon.
Thanks Pete
Be aware that there are significant differences under the bonnet in our RHD cars to the LHD US-market cars, and some products such as supercharger kits are LHD-specific and need modification to work properly here. Not to mention the EPA issues you may come across.
Well i did this yesterday, but i did some baking of the headlight variety. Got Projector headlights from the U.S. thus had to pull apart the projectors to correct the beam pattern for RHD. Hello black projector headlights good riddance old cloudy headlights! (i'm planning on polishing the plastic to near new so if anyone has crappy old ones i might be interested in selling them.
Like: the beam cutoff which is RAZOR sharp and overall apperance... even though i and everyone i asked was repulsed by the idea of angel eyes at first (wasn't planning on wiring them up), I was convinced to at least try it and they actually look disturbingly good, gives the bora a angry presence, thus they've been wired in! Also they are a straight plug and play job with the leveling motors fitting perfectly also
Dislike: the stupid parker lights on the top (not wired in) which look like a retarded eyebrow, if i ever open them up again they'll be being removed ASAP.

Gave the interior a well needed clean. Brought some AutoGlym glass and carpet cleaner, too. So it's all refreshed! Tomorrows job is wash then cut&polish! Then fingers crossed next week it's off to get the front plate bracket removed then the front bar resprayed, and a quote on fixing the dent in my roof
Other day in heavy rain the left half of the road was flooded by a huge puddle, went straight through it in my lane for a bit of fun, spraying water everywhere. Then i remember that my intake is right down the bottom left. As soon as i realise, i then hear my dash beep.
Fortunately it was just the "alternator workshop" message. Water must have splashed up near the alternator.
Message went away pretty soon, and obviously I did not get any hydrolocking from the intake.
Just need to remember I can't drive thru puddles like that!
Well, gave her a wash today, which took me around 4 hours! I'm so happy with the results though. Also wound my front coilovers down another ~20mm or so. A lot harder getting out of the driveway and it scrubs a lot more now, but feels a lot better in corners!
