Golf went for 120k service, 1hr into the service I get a call saying the water pump doesnt fit.

All parts where from ECS Tuning and matched part numbers to local VW parts. Looks like they put the wrong water pump into the box, now I have to get one expressed <1hr from VW to get the car back together and finish the job -.-

Its gonna be a expensive day.
    That sucks the big one!
    Wonder what ECS will say.

i took the headliner and pillars and all out myself but then it was a little to much for me to do the headliner and sunroof myself.. Ive tried the doorcards before and it didnt go well at all.
i like how it looks. wasnt too hard to get in and out of the car - probably took 1.5hrs to get it back in and about 2 to get it out.

        • Well service went overall pretty well, turns out my spark plugs where due and what I thought was a dirty throttle body turned out to be a stuffed spark plug lead.

Now all I gotta do is reset the ECU

I think he was trying to say that it's meant to be typed in capital letters, ie: 'BBS CH'.

On another note I installed a boost guage and stubby antenna over the weekend

I also found out I had a boost leak, boost was hitting 15psi but then dropped sharply and would only hold 5psi near redline, it felt as if the dv was leaking boost. So I replaced the vacuum line going to the dv (bypassed that stupid metal bit that runs along the top of the engine), fixed a tear in the boost line going to the n75 (the people who did my intercooler over-tightend the hose clamp) and voila I have steady boost now!! It now hits 15psi and slowly drops to about 11psi at redline, that means I have no pressure drop from my fmic, yay!

Boost gauge looks pretty OEM with that lighting - is it part of a steering wheel shroud or a separate component that attaches to it?

                            • Continued the treatment of the leather interior Gavin and I fit 2 weeks ago. Used about a quarter of a bottle of Leatherique No. 1 on the front seats. Am going to leave it for a couple of days to really soak in, then apply the Cleaner.

                              - appears shiny in the pics until it soaks into the leather ...

Also checked the new brake booster hoses we (read Gavin) fit last night - they're still there(!)

                              - and the lower control arm bolts are still tight so looks like the front suspension clunking is sorted.
