also installed the ipod cable. have it coming out just above the ashtray lid

What head unit you got? Alot easier to get it out the ashtray then the glove box. I put it in the glove box and it was a PITA.

Fitted my resistor plate today. Pain in the ass so i removed the bumper to help which was supprisingly easy.

have a pioneer avhp4250dvd and i just drilled a hole big enough for the usb and aux plug to squeeze through just above the ashtray lid and just below the OBD port in the plastic

i have a trick though, you can leave the rear section as is, and only remove the 4 side screws for the front section of the centre tunneling trim.

i haven't put it back yet, but i might have to take it off anyway...

either way, removing both glovebox and that front centre tunnel trim - reduced ALOT of rattles and creaks.

Whoop i mean not the glove box the arm rest, which is made out of aluminium lol with little holes or ways to route the cables. Glove box wasn't too hard it allready had a pre punched hole in it.

Finally got ECS into gear and had my stuff shipped off today! now the actual wait begins, sigh

Cleaned out the smashed drivers door window from my car at 10.30 last night after some mother f*cker broke into my car, just so they could take the shi*ty GPS that doesn't work from me. Just something else I now have to try and find the cash for..... I'd like to pull the bastard's kidneys out through his sh*t hole!

If anyone knows of a cheap driver door window, with no tint (I have to get Tint-a-car to put midnight express on it also...) please let me know.....

Know the feeling mate, happened to me last year for exactly the same reason. GPS never stays on my dash anymore because of it! Do you have full comp insurance? Most policy's cover 1 free glass replacement per year including tint replacement

I do but they won't cover the glass and tint replacement without me paying an excess. With the car off the road, at least I will have the opportunity to do the brake upgrade etc.....

Sure? Many companies dont charge an excess, i know shannons dont and it wont affect your premiums either

Yeah, I rang them at 11pm on tuesday night and I don't have window cover. That's RACV for you....

Shannon's are good but the windscreen claim does show as a claim on your policy, does not seem to affect the price.
