          • I washed and oiled my air filter.
            I hate doing this. Being a cylinder makes it a PITA.
            I found that you can get a aerosol can for the oil, which I rekon would make life a lot easier as the oil I have is so thick.

            • wait. wait. are you sure you're supposed to oil a VW air filter? when I did mine, it threw a code and caused erratic idling intermittently.

                He's got CAI, so maybe a pod or aftermarket filter like K&N.

                  • Changed the coolant sensor, swapped wheels front<->rear, discovered spare was flat so inflated it, stuck my VWW sticker on the rear window, stopped the damn seatbelt reminder chime, treated the leather, cleaned the gunk off the black plastic gear shift surround and ran a VAG-COM check.

                    A productive weekend.

                      yep BMC CDA CAI as per sig.

                      The trick is to oil it just enough but not too much. I've done it many time and no issues yet.

                      • Got my unlock code from Eurovox for the radio in my Golf, and found a secondhand Eurovox 1050 out of a VY Commonwhore at the wreckers for benchtesting my iPod controller.

                        • Well i did it .. about a month ago 1 day before i left for the Europe Trip i sold my MK4 GTI to one of my close friends Vince.. some of you may already know but others im sure not.

                          By coincidence at the same time i also bought a mid/late 2007 Audi S3 in Sprint Blue as well.... lol
