what's wrong with washing in hot sun, is it just that the water dries quickly?Originally posted by Dyldo View PostHot day for washing too. hope you had a good shaded area?
i washed two cars (at the same time!) on sat in the middle of the day and it was even hotter, and i had to keep spraying the cars with the hose to keep the panels wet before i got a chance to finsh with the shami. was a juggle and a half!

The water acts like a magnifying glass which isn't so good for the paint. Also leaves marks too. Just better to do it in the shade.

Yes, cover was in the form of a monster carport, and I help by spraying water over the washed panels, for the bit I was there..Originally posted by Dyldo View PostHot day for washing too. hope you had a good shaded area?

Yeah, big double carport, we didn't start washing until latish afternoon, and the car was under shade all day.Originally posted by goodfella View PostYes, cover was in the form of a monster carport, and I help by spraying water over the washed panels, for the bit I was there..
Pic showing the carport:
Dave was there, unlike someone else I could mention who apparently trod on a rusty nail and was too busy sinking cans to come pick up his (well, his mate's) swaybar!
Nothing to see here...

I don't understand how my car gets dirty quicker in the city than when I used to live in the country on a gravel road! Then again my car isn't garaged anymore

I got the eibachs from a random guy off ebay, they're actually the set for the 1.8n/a but it seems they are better suited to the 1.8T because of the front axle weights ( it's only 30kgs difference anyway). I got the bilsteins and the stage 2 refresh kit from ECS tuning in the recent group buy organised by manaz ( Thanks you again!!) ECS don't stock eibachs but I think eshocks.com do and they have decent shipping rates to australiaOriginally posted by IanJ View PostWhere did you get the eibach and bilsteins from?

Yeah mate, they're awsome. Squat and dive are virtually non-existent, just gotta find some time to take it up some twisties so I can really see what they can do, I think I'm gonna get me some sway bars and a boost gauge in the next group buyOriginally posted by Manaz View PostGlad to hear the Billies have done the job for you!
