    • Converted the .:R to a temporary two seater and gave it a good vacuum. Exterior is still filthy but it keeps on raining.

      • Finally had a good look at the climatronic codes, worked out speedo error and changed temp to read in 'F to confuse passengers (also, higher numbers are surely more impressive no? haha)

            • Finally got around to getting JMac to install my Tyrol Sport Brake Stiffening kit that there was the group buy for last year. Haven't really driven yet but if you press the pedal as hard as you can it feels a little firmer.

Hit "lower fan speed" + "lower temperature" + "ECON" - ensure you use those because there's another set in there which end up as mostly 0's.

Hitting Auto and Econ at the same time will switch F & C reading, and switch 17 to mph...

Some codes maaaaaay be different to oz spec but mine seem the same....and be very careful with playin around with em!

                  • finally got my act together and did something about my BBS, stuck a number of 5mm spacers on, sat the wheel and parts of the car on blocks/bricks to get the suspension down and to make sure all my offset calcs were correct before i ordered my adapters.

didnt take any pics of the front for some reason, but this is what the rear should look like...

                    Not really...

                    ...but this is...

should be another 5mm further out then what is in the pics. what a difference does offsets and a inch of width make

                    • sure you want another 5mm than that? it's already poking!
And i hope your rear suspension is nice and stiff, not much room for travel once you put the tyres on

i plan on putting 10mm front 20mm rear on my standard gti tyres, though i haven't made any measurements, just rough guesses. might be a good idea to do something like that to get a better idea...
i don't want them poking though, having the car visibly illegal in two ways with the one mod isn't the best idea IMO!

15mm is the minimum adapter without paying big $$
yeah have coilovers, stiff is the name of the game haha
id like to rebuild them so i can play with the offset but i just dont have them time.
as long as i dont do something stupid to draw attention i think ill be right...

EDIT: or at worst i get the arches rolled/pulled a little.

                        • Towed a trailer for the first time (using the car, that is)

                          average fuel was 9.2

not too bad considering the weight

Wicked. Do you just activate them off the lock/unlock or do you have another switch for them?

                              • There is an extra position on the interior door switch.

Has to be manually operated with ignition on (you just can't see my arm in the video).

However they can also be folded after you turn off ignition as long as you haven't opened a door (same as electric windows).

You can rig them to fold when you lock the car but you need to wire them up differently with an Audi mirror relay...and then you cannot fold them manually whenever you want...say if you are driving down a narrow street or something.

I am working on a circuit however so you can do both....it would be quite complicated to rig up
