my wife sent had it sent from dieselgeek.com for christmas, shes awesome!

roughly aus$460 delivered to the door. its a serious piece of kit this!
not too hard to get on, that is once you figure out to read the instructions and actually lube the bolts

Was this for the side armour plates too?

changed the million-year-old spark plugs, oil and oil filter. car runs so smoothly now also when i was under the car, spotted a perished hose which explains why my coolant disappears after a while

Replaced faulty ignition coil. Had to get one from dealer @ $100 They're only US$20 each at GAP. I think i'll replace the set with my next GAP order.

ECS have them too - make sure you get the latest revision.

The one I just picked up from VW was made in 2008 and was revision N

The one I pulled out of the car is 2001 and Rev A

nah, the full metal jacket option wasnt too much more, but the oem plastic sides remain and look like theyll do the job just fine.

There was a recall issued in the US for coilpacks recently, N sounds pretty recent though and is probably what's being used these days - the D and K ones are superceded (I suspect A was superceded by D and then K)...

I'm waiting on some money to get the Haldex Oil as i couldn't get that from GAP as they won't post oils. I have the filter and wrench though.
I also still need to bleed the brakes.

The stuff i've done so far has it running so much smoother.

Took one of the wheel arch liners off to fit my indicators and it was like a cartoon when they open a house door and the wall of water sits there for a second before crushing them, the amount of dirt and rubbish in there was crazy!! thinking ill do it all around the car now...
