Got my hand on 5 keyless entry systems.. will install 2 test ones this weekend, oem keyfob + panic buttons.

Also have MK4 keyfobs with Boot Buttons for all those golf owners and never got one (OEM) as well!

negative. OEM remotes only.

You dont need an aftermarket alarm if you have a 01+ golf/bora. You can easily add any sensors to your existing alarm and just activate the beep on arm and beep on disarm on any VW/Audi. (such as proximity, shock, glass, tilt, etc)

The oem remote also comes with a panic button it as well.

the new rego sticker came in the post yesturday! Finally its all in my name, plates done and no more paperwork to sort out, let the fun begin!...VW.....

While I had the bonnet up I also thought I'd pull out my CAI and give the filter a good clean. Glad I did, it was filthy (read hasn't been cleaned since all those dust storms the other month). Should breathe better now.

Got 1 of my front coilovers in (using stock 15s on the front... )
Went to install the second and the thread on the inside of the stock shock has failed left with no way of undoing the bolt to release it from the top hat... going to drill it out but both batteries for the drill are flat... lol
