I drove my Bora for the first time in a week. After driving a Corolla sedan (hire car) around 1,000km around Tasmania for the last seven days, it's great to get back into a car with some feel to the steering and some stability in its ride (the Corolla really copped a buffeting from passing trucks).
At least you had a Corolla (I think), I've been driving a 1 tonner pov pack diesel Navara all week. Now that's fun. :|
Cheers,
Trent
Washed it. Got told off (quite rudely) at the carwash for using buckets. Was going to say "But I'm using Ph neutral shampoo...it will improve your water quality." But I didn't bother...they wouldn't understand..
discovered the annoying rattle was my new boost guage. needle seems to rattle when it hits max boost ~16-17psi. and a quick search on the net showed this to be a common problem...
what's the best fix? some sort of restrictor apparently...

Paul which car wash did you go to??
I went to the one on the corner of Blackburn Rd and Waverley Rd (across from Maccas) and there was a guy sitting there in a ute watching people to see if they used a bucket.
Theres one on Burwood Hwy that lets you use a bucket and even has warm water that comes out of the hose!! My preferred wash place now
Finally installed new Haldex controller, can't wait for the roads to dry out to see how it goes. Thanks to Derek at Mona Vale for the handy hint about the gasket, would have been a dreadful task without the rubber band.
