i fit my new dogbone mount... havent stopped driving it since...
window shopped for a new set of new rims for the Bora... hmm 17 or 18!!!?!
I have 17s on mine and I'd vote 18s just beacuase they dont quite fill out the arches enough for my liking, although they look much better than 16s......then again 17s probably look alright too if it's lowered and would probably drive better

There is a real chance that oil from a oiled filter will get sucked through the filter and end up being deposited on the MAF sensor hot wire, which can lead to incorrect readings (and may eventually destroy the sensor).
There have been a lot of tests of "premium" filters, and I don't remember ever reading one that indicated they were any better than stock paper filters in terms of airflow, and they're almost certainly not as effective at filtering dust due to the larger pore size.
I have been running a K&N panel filter for well over a year now and I havent had any such MAF issues. I havent needed to service it yet, but I will follow the old Less is More principal when oiling it.

Less is more is definitely the way to go. I've seen oiled panel filters with oil dripping off them before.
It would be interesting to get a look at your MAF sensor hotwire to see if there's any noticable discolouration or buildup - apparently mild deposits can be cleaned off with carby cleaner anyway.
I have been using a K&N panel filter for over two years now after I had to remove the BMC intake due to CAMS regulations only allowing a factory airbox.
I have had no issues with the MAF at all, you have to make sure to not over oil the filter that is all, it only requires a very small amount of the filter oil.
As a plus we found after using VAGCOM to test the grams per second of air intake comparing the BMC and the Euro DSG airbox with K&N filter the difference is negligible.
Fitted my Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar last night. Put it on the 2nd stiffest setting. Took it for a burn and couldn't notice the difference.....Then I looked at the speedo and started laughing out loud.
A corner I wouldn't dare take at 60kph before due to drastic understeer was being taken at an indicated 80kph!!
Then, to test the whole "dangerous lift-off oversteer" argument, there are more than enough downhill, off-camber tight turns in my area (see my location). I approached one of these corners at 70kph, lift off quickly while turning and nothing. The nose just tucked in beautifully without the arse end even coming into play.
Will take it home by the mountain road from work tonight and will see how it performs
Oh, it also now loves quick direction changes, like tuning into service roads without lifting off.....
