I gave the bora a good wash today after i went for country drive with the g/f on the weekend up to marysville then to alexandra then accross to yea then back to yarra glen then home. Bit dirty and covered in bugs, i got some pics but i'll post them up soon once i get my g/f camera. Thought why i was at it i'd start giveing the seats and good clean, spent best part of half an hour getting makeup and chocolate marks out of my passenger seat, so thought i'd stop and do a seat per night.

I also wanted tinted tailights and looked at using the spray but then i saw it on a few mates cars and i wasn't happy with the finish. So i opted to import a pair of Hella smoked taillights. The good thing is that i don't get hassled by the cops becasue there legal. Alot of guys down my way are always getting defects for spray on taillight tints.

Yay i'm so excited to discover tonight that it looks like my microswitch has failed inside the door latch mechanism on my drivers door. After searching the forum's it looks like i'm in for some fun.
This tops of a great week for me after having a new timing belt, disc roters and brake pads all round. Loos like Ruddy's shout

sounds fun! lucky you .. dont worry my glovebox recently broke lol
I'll fix your glovebox and you can fix my microswitch, After looking at the vwvortex site it is basically strip the door down to nothing then start pulling more electronic stuff apart, not looking foward to this one.

Yeah mine played up about a month or so ago but after a few good hard slams of the door it seems to have fixed itself for the moment. Hopefully it stays fixed but after finally getting the right terminology for the problem I now know how to fix it. So thankyou.
Cheers,
Trent

I've had the inside of my door apart too many times recently. Door lock and window regulator have played up.
Getting the 2 black triple square bolts out was a major pain in the , mine needed a bit of heat to break all the threadlock, after I striped them
Finding the triple square tool was not much fun either, but now I have a whole set.
