Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'm in the same boat EVN-88G....I just came back from a month long snowboarding trip in Canada and Japan and spent between $1k-$2k on gear AND then I had to buy a car! Hopefully I'll start spending some cash on her in a couple of months

Where in NZ are you going? Considering a quick trip there in August.....I'm missing the mountains already!

                not a bad price!
im thinking of changing my wheels actually.. look at MAM or Merc Splits..

nothing new with me, TT wheels sprayed gunmetal grey for spares+tyres on, have to change boost hoses as il creating another hole in the lower to blow it again and control arm bushes.. that'll do me again i think!!

oh possibly buff it properly sometime

I put some Bridgestone rubber on the TT wheels i bought last week. I'm going to have a long think about wheel colour...

And i need to get some coilovers...maybe in a few months.

Just saw another post confirming it was you who got them. Good to see they went to someone here (since they couldn't go to me, that's the next best thing).

I was really happy with the price of the wheels, but i ended up spending another $950 on the rubber...

The old tyres were falken semi-slicks which were fully slick in some parts, and down to the canvas in others. The ad did mention that though...
