Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

Yeah, I was always going to replace the rubber if I got them. Phoning around today actually to get a good price on some RE001s...
    Nothing to see here...

Canada & Japan were amazing - knee-deep dry pow, nothing like the wet stuff you get in Oz. I think The Remarkables already had 20cm dump on the 11th of March! Hopefully it will be a killer season. I'm probably going to Falls now to take my GF to the snow for the first time....it's gonna be painful I think! Will probably drive the Bora over, so at least that will be fun

Now, back OT - those rims will look nice.....black on black is always very slick. Today I got some mats for the Bora after getting sand in her on the weekend.....hopefully these will make cleaning the interior a bit easier! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Volkswagen-Bo...3A1|240%3A1318

Looking at coilovers next but that may take a few months to save for.

Well, although it hasn't really been what i've done "today", here are some of the things i've done to my car...

OEM R32 brushed aluminium style interior trim
OEM R32 pedals (no dead pedal)
          OEM R32 mats
OEM R32 shift knob and boot
JVC double DIN touch screen stereo w/ bluetooth kit and reverse camera
          brushed alloy gauge rings
          4Motion rear valance, colour coded
          colour coded OEM front valance
          OEM R32 rear spoiler
          R32 inspired blue brake calipers
          18x8.5" BBS CH rims
H&R Sport lowered springs (pics are taken before I fit these, after looking at the photos, it motivated the purchase!)
          Whiteline RSB
          Eurojet SMIC
          Silicon TIP, silicon TB hose
modified OEM airbox w/ cold air intake
2.5" custom DP to 2.5" Magnaflow rear muffler
          CustomCode ECU software (Thanks Gavin!)
Hella Celis lights w/ Philips 4700k HID

          think that's about it

All this snow talk!! I booked my tickets last week to Queenstown for 9 days in July with some mates
Consequently I *haven't* done anything to my Golf today. It just had a gearbox overhaul etc, that was enough spending for a while...

Springs are in mate, just haven't had the chance to grab any more photo's since. Sits nicely now. Big bumps feel a little harsher, but the small bumps fell less harsh... go figure!

Found my OEM antenna missing today when I got back to the car after work.

Have ordered the stubby replacement from DubAddiction!

                                Thought I'd chime in
I replaced the window reg on the drivers door last weekend.
Got the Pedder's 28 point inspection yesterday, to see what the occasional clang in my front suspension is. Everything passed fine.
