... It is a fair bit lower than the Eibach springs I had.
190,000 km on stock shocks and 160,000 with the Eibachs springs...
Geez, how many k's has the car done??
are the eibachs any good? I wanted to try a different pair for my rear coilover set..
Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...
Haha, are they rubber? I think they're of my kw's they're to stop the strut travelling so far if you weren't going lower than 40mm (I did )
Excellent, I could not find a place for them.
Did the rears today, easier than the front. I had to remodel the right side wheel arch liner as it blocked good access to the strut top bolt.
Also located a vac leak, I could hear it from outside the car with the bonnet closed. The leak was causing idle issues, would drop to 650rpm for a sec every 30 sec or so. Lots of tape on that one till I can get a proper fix.
Then I tried to fix a coolant leak, was dripping from the top of a pipe, loosened the clip pushed up and tightened, lets hope it holds.
Service indicator came on 2000km to go.
MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
The bottom, must have 100mm ground clearance at lowest point of car.
Thanks Lito
Does this include body kits? If the actual car frame and exhaust as such is above 100mm but the front lip goes under 100mm does that matter?

Yup any part of car, so your lip is counted. Even splash shields hanging to low can get you a yellow sticker. That's one of the great things about the r32 front bar, it doesn't hang as low as the stock one.

Thanks for the information, I've never really known where they measure from. Looks like I won't be lowering my car anymore than it already is which sucks (front lip at about 100mm while the sides are sitting about 200mm off the ground) might just have to get some side skirts.

Honestly driving a euro I don't think you'll get hassled too much. I say go lower and just take the lip off if you get defected and need to go through the pits. You got a 2.0 right? Means you don't have to worry about your sump being the lowest point on the car

Yeh I guess haha, unfortunately I've got a slow 1.6l but the lip sits the lowest.
