And lastly. Decided to put the bar rio up to take a better look at the impact on the rails.

RH rail is out but it's nothing major, just looks bad from this angle because the mounting plate is all bent up. But the LH could be out a little as well although I couldn't see damage to it, the bar rio should sit flush.. And because of the angle of impact it is possible it's pushed both rails across a couple of mils.

Pickup a hoist over the long weekend, next strap it and yank that bugger out. Then off to the repair to square this all up.

And sadly this is how I've been moving it around my yard for the past couple of months. One smashed MK4 towing another....

I had to use penetrating oil on my wiper bolts to get them off the first time, such a pain.

Edit: you might have experienced this already, but be careful with the cowl off, I had mine off for about a week outside, dust and a couple leaves got in the channel it clips into and I had to clean it all up before the cowl would press back in.

She's outside exposed to the elements, cowl panel went straight back on as soon as I got the ECU out and pulled the engine harness through

You have been busy. Back on the road next week?

Only if it's on the back of a tow truck

Still undecided whether to do the chains and clutch yet. Seems like the perfect time whilst the R32 donk is out, but after driving it a few times clutch feels good and chains are still quiet.

Haven't updated this in a few months... Things are getting there SLOWLY...

Engine/Gearbox is out of the Bora and it's now currently at the repairer getting that rail end repaired.

Decided to give the R32 a break from towing duties. Used the V5 instead.

Parked in the designated spot (as indicated by the rectangle of dead grass) on my front lawn. I'll be using this one to strip airbags, seat belts, crash sensors, coil spring and airbag module from.

Dropped by to see the boys at Centreline Smash today. Rail end already repaired and bar rio bolted up. Readjusting the passenger side skirt.

Got written off. Owner hit a brick/rock, cracked the sump and kept driving. Motor is seized, other than that no damage.

Shame it's written off actually because I have a spare motor!

Such a waste when it's something so minor. Win for you though!

Agree, but it all comes down to warranty. Still win for me

It has a few goodies too. Audi TTRS (I think) Reps and a banging quad Lukey Performance exhaust. Sadly I'll never get to hear it

Certainly do sir... I've been stalking your Facebook

Actually the boys @ Centreline had it repaired, painted in a 1.5days! It's arriving back at the MK4 graveyard (my place) today.
