1995 Mk 3 Cl 1.8 3 door wont start

Hey all, so ive had my mk 3 for about 6 months and it recently decided it wanted to stop working. I pulled over on the roadside to roll a smoke left the car running and then it just stopped. So i got it towed back home a figured its gotta be an ignition issue because it turns over just doesnt kick in. Ive replaced the igniton coil and leads the distributor cap and rotor and stuck some fresh spark plugs in there too. Now im puzzled and dunno what else to try. And help would be awesome.
