    Vortex supercharger kit.

    Bahnbrenner website is useful.

If you turo you need to pull the engine apart to lower the comp. Supercharger kicks in earlier too which is what the vr6 needs.

    Good Luck.
Not entirly true, VF kit is linier. Boost starts at 3000rpm and is linier till redline when it gets to 8psi (VF stg2). Turbo could start as low as 2500 and be at full boost by 3500-4000 depending on the size and type of turbo used.

Turbo at 8psi would be ok on stock compression aslong as you have an intercooler. That is how i am currently running with no issues, apart from a 200000km old tired engine.

For the ease of a true bolt on kit a VF Supercharger is a good way to make more power. A turbo or twin turbo kit would be the ultimate but its alot of work & $$$$ If you are going to get one you might as well go straight to Stage 2 or 3 to really get some good gains.

We have a guy in NZ with a Turbo Mk2 VR6 Syncro. His car is seriously fast

This is what the kit looked like when it turned up

GTI, can you tell us where you bought your kit from and how was the shipping/duty costs? Did it include a chip in the kit and how did it it all go together?

If you want the blow off noise you can still put a bov onto a supercharger system.

I am in NZ and got mine through a company here called the Dubshack.

Shipping wasn't too bad as they have containers coming all the time.

I had to sell one of the kids to buy the kit and new 2.9 block though

And the kit comes with a blow off valve, you cant really here it unless you are really gunning it. Its not the big wooooosh like a turbo.

                          Too true..

Mate you don't even need a turbo for that noise! Just yell out the window every time you lay off the throttle!
