Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hakan Has Returned !

Hey everyone been almost 4 years since ive last posted about my Mk3 VR6 with the Kerscher carmonas and Turbo builds. Well i ended up selling the car and engine 3 or so years ago and went through many Japanese cars owned and built couple of 10s 1/4mile cars and sold them . And guess what everyone I Have just Bought Myself Another Golf Mk3 but this time its not a VR6 .

The car is a Black mk3 with a 2.0L ADY 8V was extremely dirty when i bought it with a collapsed rhf wheel bearing and a blocked catalytic converter. $1000 cant really go wrong . Well i ended up cleaning the whole car and fixed most of the issues and happily using it as a daily .

On the side i am putting together a "New engine" for it which will be a 2.0L ADY block with AGU 20V turbo

Also will be converting to a 02J gearbox out of a Mk4 GTI very soon and 5 stud conversion

Love a good build thread! You have to post up some photos as you go

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

          Hello Hakan Has Returned!

So you did end up buying that agu/02j setup? Damnit haha.

Just drop the engine/box right in without any builds and engine it for a bit before building it man! 20vt motors are pretty fun still with just a tune
