Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Supercharging ADY motor

I've supercharged 2 litre motors before. Think I'll do it again. Anyone in SA done this yet? Will be supercharging my 2.0 8v Mk3 Golf. Already got the SC, and I've dummied it in position. Will start fabricating the mounts this week. Taking pics as I go. Watch this space.

This looks very interesting, will be interested in what sort of performance you end up getting out of this setup

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Still researching engine mgmt options. Taken some pics of the trial fit, and sorting out the fabrication of mounts. Moving battery to the boot, airbox to where battery was, and small intercooler where airbox currently is with cold air feed. Will get pics up eventually ... I'm a shift worker

              Progress update:
Currently relocating battery to boot, so the afm/box can be relocated to the battery location. Just picked up the custom outlet for the sc today. SC now has 6 ribbed belt pulley. I have started fabricating the SC mounts myself.
Engine management will be Emanage piggyback ecu. On it's way, and will wire in myself. So many little things to do.
