  • My Burgundy Mk3

    Hey guys,
    This is my mk3. its a 1995 2lt 5spd manual and 130% stock.

Have done a few things since buying the car, one of those buying a vr6 as a parts car

    Mods so far
    VR6 smoked tailights
    JVC Bluetooth headunit
VR6 leather seats front and rear. So much more comfortable and supportive than the saggy stock rubbish
Replace front reflector things with unmolested ones off the vr

Next Up (in order but most likely wont happen)
    Get more money
    Fix gearshift linkages / Bushes
replace rooted trailing control arm bushes
    lube / new starter motor
    mk4 gearknob / boot
    Lows
    Exhaust
    wheels
5 stud conversion if i can workout all the ins and outs.

    Cheers, Mike

Would keep it 4x100. Wheels are hard to come buy in 5x100

Im loving the stock, means i know the quality of parts / mods that get done to it.
Speaking of, booked in for a new exhaust next Saturday.

Nice ride man, will you be converting the motor?

Nahh. I'm liking the nice fuel economy. My other car is a 4.2l patrol so this thing is like a fuel saving god to me. The 2ltr isn't too bad. Plus's the VR has a pretty bad knock.

                  Bit of an update.

Got a new exhaust fitted this morning. But, its way to bloody loud. Will have to go back and get them to make it a little less loud.
hopefully i can brave a few drives to work and back till i can get it sorted. I mean, who knew straight pipe from the cat back would be loud eh?

In other news, i wired up a bunch of speakers i got from in the parts car, so that's good i guess.

damn, was thinking of doing this to my vr, probably way too loud, probably no where near legal but then again not many vdubbers cars are completely legal [emoji16] you have a real clean car btw I like.

thanks man, yea dont do it quite as full retard as i did. i seriously recommend just removing the suitcase muffler first, then think about the rear muffler so you dont end up in my situation
