I get mine off an eBay mob, but there are a few company's making them in aus. Usually between 300-400 with bolts.

        • Put a few things together, switches installed. Pretty lame boot setup but will do me just fine, get the weight over the back wheels for better skids. Just waiting on airline and fittings + gauges now.

              • Very nice!
We picked this up on Sunday.
Needs a bit of TLC before it goes to the mother in law.

                    • Sorry guys, has been a while since I have been on here, so apologies in advance for the highjack.

I thought it appropriate that my mother in law have a 6 cylinder golf, since her daughter (my wife) has a Mk5 R32.

Miss my modded mk4 gti and currently toying with a supercharged mx5 here and there. Goes well but i just cant stop modding it!

Think I want to sell it and get another VAG.

Paid 1200 with 2 days rego. Is auto and needs a lot of TLC.

Oh and the seats are sports cloth not leather, which is fantastic, especially on a hot day!

Pics were taken after a wash and polish. Am hoping a replacement TCM fixes my major issues and the rest is serviceable stuff and correcting some neglect.

I actually enjoyed driving it more than the R32 in some instances.

Will have to get my own thread going, as I will be sure to need some expert advice here and there.

Will be happy when the gearbox starts in first gear before we do anything

Then suitcase delete, then just running properly. If VCDS allows a sports mode, then I'll do that but this is the first mk3 I've had the pleasure of working on, so I'm a total noob.

Once road worthy, I'll be handing the keys over to the MIL and I don't think she'd handle a turbo conversion too well so probably best to keep it simple
