so I've found a really good deal on a 2.0 Turbo Diesel that I'm inspecting tonight and it might be time to say goodbye to this car.
I'm hoping someone might want this for a auto->manual conversion.
I'll try to post up some details here before posting in the for sale section and make a decision tonight/tomorrow. This is where the car is at now.
The car has nearly done 135k km, still very low for a VR6 and probably the lowest out there.
I am the second owner.
Rego expires 17/03/2017, 11 months left.
Oil and oil filter has been changed approximately every 5k km.
Two sets of keys.
Pros - New; R/H Inner CV boot [27/2/2015] - Volkwerke
- New; oil pressure switch, thermostat, crack pipe, coolant fitting, thermostat cover and junction piece, all o-rings were replaced and new coolant [13/7/2015] - Volkwerke
- New; water pump [13/10/15] - Volkwerke
- New; oil pressure switch (low pressure one) [7/4/2016] - Volkwerke
- New; rear windows regulators both sides
- New; trans filter and fluid (irrelevant for conversion and I would highly suggest converting to manual if you're going to keep the shell)
- New; ignition leads (less than a year old)
- Spark plug were done
- Keyless entry
Cons - Timing chains should probably be done
- AC does not hold gas for long, was told it's the compressor
- Auto?
- Apparently one of the rear wheel bearings need to be replaced but can't hear any tell tale signs
- Left rear tyre had a screw in it, but there is no leak (just something to bear in mind)
- The front of the car needs a suspension refresh, the car still drives fine but it needs it
- Small hole in the fabric of driver's side bolster
Mods - Black gloss front emblem
- Black matte rear emblem (painted)
- OEM Rear mud flaps- Sony MEXN5050BT (supports Siri Eyes Free)
- Front and rear door speakers have been replaced (Sony Front, JVC Rear)
- K&N Apollo Intake
- Suitcase has been replaced with a smaller muffler
- Hella MK4 Look Black Headlights
- Hella Front Fogs
- Blue lit cluster
- Blue lit door window switches
- Green driver's side footwell lighting turned on via missle switch next to head unit. (don't ask why I did this)
- Rear red car underside lighting, activated when rear fogs are activated
- Aftermarket tail lights, very bright red brake LEDs
Other Parts Included - Stock suitcase
- Brembo Rear Rotors BNIB + VW Dot 4 fluid
- Stock VR6 headlights
- Stock VR6 taillights
- Stock airbox including a new filter
- Hella Carbon Look Tail lights
- Spare front emblem, currently painted in silver
- OEM antenna
- OEM Stereo (no plugs)
- Spare set of side mirror covers (currently painted in Tornado red, same as car, one has broken clips though)
This car has is still excellent car to drive and handles well, it can comfortably do 50km/h through roundabouts.
Can I post this here... still a MK3 technically. No space for the VR so it's sitting locked up and this will be my daily now.
some info; 2011 Focus Trend 2.0L TD. And yes, this one is from the initial run that were made in Germany so it's still German and drives beautifully.
