As most people will say on here, do it!

There were quite a few VRs sold here and its not like the R32 where only 200 were brought in. The only limited edition was the colour concept and thats debatable as to how many actually came to Oz....

As long as yours isnt some 90xxx minter then dont worry, make yourself a sick car and turn that 2 door into a vr6!!!!

Pretty much set on doing the VR6 conversion to the 2 door! Just need to sort it all out. I'm think I will be able to undo the top strut bolts and crosmember along with all the other parts that attach to the car and then lift the car over it all and place it in the 2 door from under the car, and ill do the same for the rear aswell.

Probably the easiest way, you need a couple of mates tho haha the golfs are pretty heavy even with no Interior or engine

Ha ha I didn't think that it would be light. All sorted out with the G/F. Project 2 door VR6 is a go.

It looks like I will start the conversion towards the end of the year, in the meantime I though that I should replace all of the things on the 2 door that don't work with parts that work from the VR6. At the moment both the 2 door and the VR6 have things that are broken/un road worthy so I plan on making the white golf work 100% and leave the VR6 with a couple of problems for the few months before we do the conversion. My girlfriend drives the 2 door around everyday and the VR6 just goes with me to work and back so it wont matter so much. Today we replaced the cracked taillights on the 2 door with the good tinted VR6 ones, replaced the broken window wiper motor and hatch struts.

**** race cars lol, I have been thinking about just keeping the VR6 as a nice street car. After talking to stu about getting my work equips I have laying around to fit I have now decided to build the VR6 as a nice street car. Here is what I. Aiming for now.
