    Productive weekend was good,
As simon said we have got the donor car fully stripped bar the fuel tank which ill take out during the week. We will be deleting the undercar/stock fuel tank and installing an in car fuel sell in the boot along with a surge tank setup and battery box for the relocation.

We do have a problem though, these bora wheels were powdercoated and they powdercoated the hub so now the wheels are stuck on and we cant for the life of us get them off! its pretty funny really but we just cant remove 2 of them

On the exhaust side, yep simon said it just a 3" straight pipe with one muffler/resonator. ****s gonna be loud and raspy but it will be good.
Its not going to be a pretty/shiney exhaust itll just be 3" mild steel unless we can get an aluminium one made up cheap for less weight

Oil cooler will be a good idea! hadnt actually though of that yet thanks for mentioning it.

Remember track cars still have noise limits and they are pretty anal about it. So just be careful its not too loud. And also mufflers help produce torque which is what you should be chasing to pull you out of the corners.

Thanks woody, actually just remembered sam mentioning something about a db rating! Ah yeah definitely will be needing to maximise torque alot of track time is in braking and accelerating out of corners.

Anyone know what car you get 3.94's out of and if there are any that you can get 4.11's out of?

            3.94's are 16v passats?

            More commonly mk4 gti's.

I'd personally go 4.24.. My 3.94 is a little of a let down.

                        ****, what a day!
With the white VR6 car fully stripped, we could finally get rid of the shell and start working on the race car shell.
We borrowed a trailer, and with the help of a few mates, managed to lift the shell onto the trailer (no wheels or subframes remember.)
The grey racecar shell was located on a farm at Narrenderra (about an hour from Wagga Wagga)
We towed the white car out to the farm, where it turned out there was no-one home, so more ****ing around trying to get onto the property.
Finally got in and unloaded the car. Next came the struggle of trying to get the new shell onto the trailer with less people and more weight (This shell still had doors and subframes, so roughly 2-300kg heavier.)
Ended up using a tractor to assist us in getting it on the trailer.
Towed the car home, where we unloaded it.
Was a very long day as nothing seemed to be going to plan (as per usual)

Yep as simon said, What a **** of a day! but at least the Grey vr6 is back in wagga and the work will begin hopefully tomorrow depending on when i finish work but ill hopefully get abit more of it stripped and more parts sorted out as the grey car is currently full of parts and does require abit of sorting out.

As we said our plan/goal is to get this to nats no matter what stage we are up to with it, but we are hoping to have it stripped with race seats in it and driving

all the parts are on their way to get this happening so hopefully it will all come together in the next 6-8 weeks so we can be at nats in it! (obviously not registered, trailer up trailer back)
