Hey guys,
This is the tale of a project VR6 racecar, starring Zale and myself.
A lot of you guys probably know Zalemate from this section and myself from the MKIV section, so I'll skip the introduction.
Our story begins with my brother Tom buying a MK3 VR6. Unfortunately, debt got the better of him, so he was forced to sell the VR6 and the new owner decided to strip it for some quick cash.
This is how it sits now:

Now, Zale is a big fan of MK3's. He had a very tidy example of one until vandals decided to throw bricks at it, smashing windows and denting panels. Not one to be disheartened, Zale fixed the white beast (funnily enough using panels from our now project racecar.) After a while, Zale got the urge to sell it, to fund a vento project, so he stripped his worked engine, and we fitted the heart out of the grey vr6. Things were all going to plan, until some idiot decided to run up the back of Zale's car, writing it off. For many moons both car's sat, untouched, unloved.

Now I hated seeing two good cars go to waste and I needed to get my hands dirty while my Bora was getting turboed. I put it to Zale that we build a race car. Using parts from both cars, surely we would have enough parts to build a full car. Zale took quickly to this idea and we started planning.
The grey VR6's motor will be fitted once more to its original body. We will be focusing on weight reduction and suspension set up. The engine will remain relatively stock for the time being.
We took a quick trip to Sydney yesterday (read 5 hours there and back) and picked up some things from Seb at Euro Automotive. 24mm H&R Front swaybar, Raceland Coilovers and a suspension refresh kit.
