I unbolted the mounts for the bar from under the seatbelt part. Much neater looking than angle grinder (I also have mk4 seats though which have baby mount on the back of seat). Alternatively drill through permanent bolt so bar is removable with normal bolts.
ai can't remember what i did with mine, but if there's permanent studs sticking out id probably leave them so you can refit the thing when it comes time to sell/a dom breaks
