    • Vr6 is running rich / rough, really lacking in power and sounds very subaru. Didn't feel the need to start a new thread over it but looking for suggestions.

Vcds scan showed camshaft position sensor swapped that out with one I had but no difference, same with maf, tps, and coilpack (not 100% sure coilpack was fine) also replaced plugs and leads with new items.

Going to check over my grounds tomorrow and probably swap in a new fuel filter was just wondering if anyone had more suggestions.

Have you tried the fuel pump or fuel rails something to do with the injection system.

Maybe it's time to put a certain engine together to make a monster ))))

Back trace the wires from the cam position sensor, and see if u find any bad looking wires.
But I think the sensor you replaced it with, was faulty as well.

          • Bought a new camshaft position sensor. *Fingers crossed.*

All signs point to it as vcds scan showed it and the one I tried as a replacement didn't look too healthy (out of a blown engine)
Should get it tomorrow. Joys of a mate that's a parts interpreter!

            • Anyone know how to replace front strut mounts on coilovers? I've got them out fine but I can't loose off that nut that holds the rubber mount on without the shock absorber shaft spinning. Any ideas?

                      • Unfortunately, you'll need a half decent one. Used a relatives supercheap auto compressor and gun and was ****.

                            • Anyone know where i could get a replacement nut and bolt?
The particular part needed is one of the two bolts which hold the coilover to the hub area? steering knuckle? Mine is completely fluffed, had to cut it off to get it out...

Heres the one i cut off...

And heres where its supposed to be... with a bolt i got from bunnings...

Don't worry im not driving with this bolt in... just drove it to get rego and pretty much to get it out of the garage...

Cheers in advance for any information guys
