oh, so I must have looked wrong at my engine build plate because I do in fact have a '96 and not a '95...but still pretty sure it's OBD1 only.

quoting myself, what is this madness?
Manufacturer plate says '96 (I now know this to just be compliance date), VIN says '95, VicRoads says '96. This is confusing.
