    Hahaha sick lights !
Carnt make up your mind with paint, vinyl wrap it I say.
Also I saw a cabby with a these flares a few days ago !
I think I got someone who can fix that rust for next to nothing if ya want.
Keep the flares, something different !!

Apparently the paint needs to be in pretty good condition for wrap. Not too worried about all that at the moment anyway.
Getting the rust fixed is up on my list of priorities. I just need the money from my Vento to get that list started lol.

So my adapters arrived...wrong. They're only single piece not 2 piece.

Here's what I'm pissed off about:
I paid for 2 piece adapters (a good $100 more)
2 piece adapters were safer and a better design.
I already bought lug nuts for the studs that were supposed to be protruding from the adapter. Now I have some 14mm lug nuts.
I sent emails back confirming what I wanted prior to them fabricating them. They told me what I was getting. I didn't get what I was told.

So pissed off and returning them is way too much hassle, now I'm stuck with something I didn't want in the first place but it will serve the same purpose. They sent torque specs for attaching the wheels, which is good.

I demanded a refund for the difference in price between the 2 piece and 1 piece adapters. The lug nuts were like $25, I can live with that.

That sucks man, first time I've ever heard negative feedback about Adeptec. Hopefully they refund you the difference or send you the right adapters and pay for the postage to return the ones you got or something!

They're the same as the H&R ones I think, just a simple slab of aluminum. They came with 12mm hex lug bolts, they are perfectly hub centric and wheel centric. Quality isn't an issue.

I'm sure they'll refund me something at least.... All I really care about is that they charged me for a 2 piece adapter.

I had a few 14mm ball seat lug bolts lying around so I test fitted.

Can't argue with results, they look awesome! That's the 50mm on the rear. I love the way the face pokes more than the rim!!!

I'm taking them to an industrial powder-coater on Friday.

Devo about your experience dude. Chances of having the wheels on before eurofest?

If someone buys my Vento, yes they will be on for eurofest lol. I have a lot on my plate at the moment.
Even if they're not on for eurofest, I'll chuck some mad spacers behind my rear Borbets to have -1 offset hahaha

Got a little bit done today. I removed the flares to see if there were any hidden surprises, apart from the missing/cut trim pieces this was the only surprise:

Anyone got some 3-door trim pieces they wanna sell?

The garden I found behind the front wheels lol:

I trimmed the inner guard plastic (cut my hand), rolled the front guards with a hammer and a hair-dryer (ghetto style), fitted my Borbets and turned the coils down at the front.
It's no lower than my Vento was but the drivers-side driveshaft is grinding on something and it's not the frame. Gonna look at it tomorrow, I have a feeling the worn engine mounts have something to do with it....... bit saggy. Also all the stock splash guards and heat shields are still around the driveshafts.

Fitted my new headlights, fricken H1 globes are pricey, still haven't got high beams lol. And the Thule roof rack I got from Ventlo

Some pics of the front before I work out the kinks...

...see no lower than the Vento was.

Thanks! Almost there now, just need to buff out marks where the old flares were. Still waiting on my budged re-trimmed roof liner to come back. The grinding ended up being the wheels rubbing on the calipers, both the Vento and the Golf have the same calipers so I didn't foresee this.... Must've been freaking close on the Vento. So I ground down the calipers a bit.

                            Before:

                            After:

Not pretty, but it ain't grinding anymore

Rolled, ground, pumped (with a bottle jack) and hammered the rear guards so I could fit the Borbets with a 15mm spacer for a bit of poke... 0 offset now
...also added a washer to the bottom bolts of the stub axles for a slight bit of camber, screw the ezcamber kit I got. Way too confusing! hahah

Really need those 3 door trim pieces

Looks so clean. Well done. Shows some simple tweeks makes a car killer.

Some tape over the rust and all will be good.

Hows driving with 3 pedals going?
