im trying to avoid grinding brake components down since its a safety thing. imagine if that carrier snaps in half under heavy braking. id rather have abit of poke then risking a crash. but that website is cool makes things easier . all i need is a 10-12mm spacer and max out the camber and roll the guards and match the rear. also whats the max poke i should have so it doesnt look overexadurated ( however u spell it )

Hakan, that's what we've been talking about in your thread since the very beginning, 9" wide ET15 is already plenty of poke for the front. It can look good with a ****load of stretch and with the sump a finger or two off the ground.

i've only seen excessive poke pulled off well by running smaller wheels, like 15's or even 14's......not sure... if it were me, for a start i'd find the amount of stretch I want, fit the rubber and then play with camber/fenders/spacers to fit them......

You mentioned a respray at some stage soon didnt you? id go with killz and get the rubber and sort that out and then even think about pulling the front guards out 5mm or so, that will help and definitely do that before any respray because paint can sometimes crack depending how much you pull the arch.

yea i want to get it resprayed after i sort out the wheels and arches . im getting the rubber hopefully end of this week .
my spacers should arrive next week.also i want to make spacers for the engine/gearbox mounts to sit it higher of the ground but that out of the topic . i hear people mentioning about some tyres not stretching well as others since they have harder sidewalls . i gota research on that .and the funny thing is that the legal height here in vic is 100mm . ive measure mine today and the lowest point is 50mm at the moment haha and still have to go lower when i fit the kerschers on .might need to go for a bash plate soon.

              Toyos will stretch nicely.

Just to clear up that on mine the wheels bolted up, there was just a mild rubbing which taking a thin chamfered edge off (I think you're meant to say 'put a chamfer on'...I forget) on the exposed edge of the pad carrier solved, I wouldn't condone taking chunks out of brake components.

You've chosen a very aggressive fitment, hope it turns out well.

Nankangs are the best at stretch.

                  So I get told.

Pretty rubbish quality from my experience though, but they are cheap... and I guess adequate if you drive sensibly.

excessive poke won't look good, at all.

If you fail to have the arch over the tyre's tread, I would class the wheels as 'not fitting'.

I wouldn't run anything less than a 205 on a 9. and even then, I think that's pushing it for the front wheels. (braking, sccelerating, steering etc).

Hope you're looking into a chassis notch, tie rod flip kit, and ball joint extenders as well.

Nankangs have weird sizes that other tyre manufacturers don't make. I personally think they look like poo stretched (sidewalls cave in rather than maintain a straight profile).

Update : i got the wheels to fit perfect after spacers and camber adjusment. the wheel sticks out approx 15mm out of guard with no load should be less with load im guessing ? ive order longer wheel bolts since the originals are to short. will upload picture of fitment after fitting rubbers and bolts .

really? makes me think offset measurements on various wheel brands are eff'd, not sure how you can have only slightly more poke than me when one, you're a vr6 and two, mine are 8.5+14 with -3.5deg camber and yours being 9+5 and stock camber lmao, my mind's blown .... keen on pics though!
