  • New hoops. None of the shops I visited do banding! They deem it too unsafe.

It definitely smells like urine It really stinks up the whole car, especially during a hot day when the car is locked up with the windows up!

Just had a look at their methods... they say not to use fabric shampoo or any other fabric cleaner before applying Urine-Off!!! But I have already! Looks like this won't be easy at all...

    • Steam cleaning is your friend. Go and hire one from your local safeways/woolies.

        • Yeah I`d take the seats out on a hot day and gurney em or scrub em with cleaner. Get em really wet and scrubbed. Then put em in the sun for a few hours.

            i work at safeway.

            they are generally useless.

get em done by drytron or whoever. get their garuentee that all odors will be gone after they're done. if the smells still there, don't pay em till its gone.

                • Hopefully I'll have car back before Autumn sets in! It still feels like February (with the exception of today).

Don't have pics of the seats, and the car is in the smash repairs at the moment so can't get any.

The driver's side right bottom bolster has a tear in it, which makes getting into the car a bit of a pain. I got the fronts for a great price though.

I remember you having VR seats fitted into your GL too - how were their condition?

                  • Condition is good, piss smell is absent!! Driver bolster torn, repaired with part of a black sock, some ziptyes and little bits of seat cushion from a BMW e30 I believe. It aint pretty, but it certainly helps and I no longer get stabbed in the ass every time I get in.

                        • w00t, got the car back from the smash repairs! Had a tough time with NRMA not covering minor things that they deemed were "old damage". They were all based on rust marks being more "brownier" than others At the end of the day, they provided compensation for a few hours labour on the old damage and managed to get that fixed up.

Today, I got the time to roll my front guards properly. I had a go with the hammer and surprisingly it worked out fine. I got a few paint cracks but it was rolled in to the best of my ability with a blow dryer and a cloudy day.

Wheels fitted on fine with no clearance issues. Once lowered down, the wheels were poking out slightly which was exactly what I wanted Endless nights of searching for pics and playing around with offsets and widths has finally paid off

Drove around ****ty roads and Parramatta Road, and didn't rub one bit

Oh, and I regret not going for coilovers in the first place The car doesn't go much lower than that...
