The back panel you may be able to bash it out, but I would agree wth Matt get a door and new panel off him cause in the end a panel beater will do pretty much the same thing!
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

Bad luck, Ray. Hope everything turns out OK and at least you were not hurt (physically).

I remember plowing my Type III into a gutter after coming round a corner a little too quick in the wet.

In my case there was no panel damage, although the wheels ended up like this:

            |-/

New front end and it was all good, not plesant or pretty, but you live and learn.

I'd put it through the insurance, ring them now before too much time passes and say nothing other than "I have had an accident" and telling them what happened. At the end of the day you are insured, no point not claiming *just in case* they don't cover it.

On a side note, NRMA do not cover suspension mods at all, so it's not something I would mention unless specifically asked. Even then I would say I replaced what was there with the same/similar part # as was installed previously.

            Hope it all works out.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Haha, I don't think I'd be too unhappy if insurance doesn't cover it. I was talking to some friends and they mentioned they words "rat project"

I bought a set of Thule 404 roof racks made for our Mk3 Golf, I guess that will be step one for the rat-look

From hearing stories about NRMA, I reckon they'll try and point out everything that looks "wrong" I'll have to see how things go though.

Mate correct me if im wrong... U take the car to a panel beaters that u know well and they are accredited, then they do the assesment and its all good...

Just clam for the panel work... Make sure u give the panel shop plenty of beer and chat 'em up

Its good to see the car back on the road where it belongs!

just go to a few different shops and get a quote privately and for insurance purposes, you'd be dramatically surprised how much difference there can be between the shops, Yennora should be where you should start just to get an idea on your options.
