  • I have raised the rear some more, the front doesn't scrub much at all cos of the camber bolts which I hate using. I like the profile of the tyre but i want it to tuck under the guards, it's hard with 15x8's with only 15 offset lol. So the plan is to wait 2 weeks and get some Nankang as-1 175/55's which would give me the same overall diameter but lots more stretch, delete front camber and tuck some tread .

I've been watching a set of 16x7 OZ Racing gravel wheels on ebay, they didn't sell so I'm hoping they re-list them for less $$

    • Scrubbing and sick of it I sold my Falkens and bought some Kumho Ecsta 175/55's ....probably the best tyre size for my wheels! I Love them!!!

Here's some shots of the Kumho's:

After stretching them the profile was the same as the Falken 195/50's so I was able to drop the rear quite a bit. Tucks beautifully and doesn't scrub!

      Finally sitting pretty and functional.

          • Nice! I used the same on my fogs and then some black for the indicators. Looks good with the yellow plates.

              • Mines come on and off a few times, luckily I bought a fairly big sheet. Think it'll stay for a while now though.

                    • tyres should last plenty long, providing your tracking is straight and swap them tyres side to side at some stage.

(and dont drive like a hooligan )

My car's an auto, it's almost impossible to drive it like a hooligan lol
I'm gonna experiment with the front camber, maybe decrease it a bit to the point where the tyres barely scrub or only scrub a bit at full lock...

                          • Nah I won't be coming, I work weekends. Anyway the Vento doesn't look as perfect as she did at Nat's earlier this year, the other week I got nudged by a B-double truck. The rear bumper's all scuffed up and the back right door is dented and scratched, could've been a lot worse but the driver realised he hit me. The annoying part is he just kept driving when I pulled over, then I lost him. The damage isn't bad enough to get the cops involved or even for insurance... S**t happens.

Yep, stock as stock could be. I'm ready to sell her on to someone who needs a nice daily driver.

                              Cleaned up the Borbets.

                              And put them to bed.

As we shall remember her in her last moments of glory.
