Yeah I probably will go with higher profile tyres next. I love the way the 185s look though! Nankang make some 185/50 ....even 55 I think.

Haven't been on in a while so I thought I'd make a little update. Since 'nats I haven't done much with the Vento. Finally cot some engine mount spacers so she's sitting lower now with all the oily bits tucked up nicely

        Here's how she's looking now:

^also the addition of a shiny exhaust tip lol

        The front engine mount:

Playing around with some 16mm spacers on the rear to even out the front and rear poke:

I may run like this for the Show'n'shine at the WTAC.

Anyone wanna meet up at WTAC?

How are you going with driveshaft angles and wheel alignment etc after using the engine mount spacers?

The driveshaft angles are fine, the drivers side (being a chunkier shaft) is pretty damn close to the frame, I just gotta take left hand turns slow lol. Wheel alignment? The driveshaft goes to the centre of the hub, I wouldn't have thought a wheel alignment would be necessary.

I was more curious to know if it affected the wheel alignment more than anything.

Have you not already got Driveshaft marks on the frame, I would have thought at your height you'd have been bumping it a fair bit.

The Weitecs are quite stiff and I'm careful lol. I've only heard it hit once. I'd recommend the spacers to everyone, they were so easy to install and they just make a lowered car so much more driveable!
I've whacked the subframe too many times to count though lol

I want to SELL my Vento, nothing wrong with her apart from some steering rack rattles when turning. Engine ans gearbox was replaced a year ago (before I bought it). I'm just bored and I get more excitement out of driving my missus' '05 cooper CVT lol. Looking for something a little more sporty... Something French and not a Peugeot, haters be hatin' hahah.
I'll sell with the Weitec coilovers fitted and the old Bilstein setups in a box but I'll be keeping my Borbet Reps.

                  ANY offers are welcome!

Buy mine and finish it, daily yours until it's done.... then you'll have Cooper S-esque performance with a much more manly soundtrack.

Seriously though, cars looking good... don't quit the Vento club

Demon Tweeks, they have an ebay store but I don't think they're selling Weitecs anymore. I'll sell you mine for the right price, the front left spring seat lock isn't working so that would have to be looked at (it doesn't worry me cos I basically have them maxxed out). They're still under warranty but to get that bit replaced you have to sent the entire unit back to Germany lol.

With my wedding getting closer and closer the mods are getting less frequent, I've got the missus bugging me to save money for our honeymoon.
...but Dub Addiction has a sale on the NA Front lip, 30% off!! I jumped at the opportunity lol. So here we are:

I managed to make it fit like a glove by trimming a few of the cornet tabs off, love it!

I'm on the lookout for some new wheels, something with slightly higher offset and a different look to my Borbet reps. These are the main ones that have my interest:

+25 15x8 and I'd run some 195/50's for a bit of extra clearance and comfort (maybe some 185/55's!). And they're cheap!
I've getting sick of the gap above the front tyres, I can't go any lower unless I notch the frame but if I did end up notching the frame the subframe would literally scrape everywhere! The only option is some taller tyres to fill in the gap. Anyone want to buy my 185/45's off me?

I like the look of 15's, everyone is doing the 16 thing. I am on the lookout for some nice 16's but haven't found any that tickle my fancy... also tyres for 16's cost a bit more.
